This place is perfect if you wish to socialize with fellow travelers! Very clean place, ample connectivity options, as well as spacious sleeping quarters. Just bring an extra extension cable, as power connections tend to get filled up fast, due to the number of people connecting their laptops to the place. I can't recommend this place enough! Access to the train station is also reasonable and is a 15-minute walk from the guesthouse to Kameari station. Also, if your birthday falls during your stay, the host will celebrate it by setting up a small dinner for you! :D Very personal touch to a very wonderful experience!

Location is convenient and quiet. A little small for 4 (as it’s Tokyo) but has everything. Clean! The host Kasuki sen is super nice and patient. Very helpful showing us around his community.

The room was a good size and came with a small kitchen. Many heaters were provided. The area was very quiet. Very close to shimokitazawa station and shops.

The owner was extremely helpful! He gave us recommendations on where to eat (izakayas) and drink when asked! The location is in a nice and quiet location, and of course, next to convinis. There's also a relatively close location for laundry and if you need directions the owner has handouts on the whereabouts. ALSO I LOVE THE OWNER SO MUCH- he offered us cute goodie bags and also offered one of my friends a suitcase because she was carrying around lots of heavy bags 😭

In 28 years in Japan, I think this was the best place I’ve ever stayed. I was there for 3 nights. Mr. and Mrs. Ito were incredibly kind. They thought of every single detail, going far beyond what I expected. It was a wonderful experience and I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed and appreciated it. I cannot stop recommending this place! I booked Hanare for my very first stay in Japan. And I am sooo happy I did so! Th atmosphere of the place is very calm and relaxing. There are meditative sounds in the hallway and the place smells like wood! Perfect to wind down after a 20 h flight! I also don’t know what they put in the water but my hair and skin looked so healthy after the shower. The staff, both Momo and Nana are extremely friendly and helpful. I had a technical issue with booking and they resolved it all so quick and kind for me. Thank you once more for this!! Also they contacted me for a forgotten item which I picked up upon my later return to Tokyo. The neighbourhood is also simply amazing for a first introduction into the city and country. Momo recommended me a great sushi place where I ate the first evening. It felt like I was in a movie! I loved it so much I also came back after 3 weeks travelling Japan and had once again one of the best dinners of my stay! If I ever have the chance to come back I definitely want to book this again.
